Title: Cam/intake opinions
Post by: OKELLY on July 17, 2016, 09:41:39 PM
What's up. I need some opinions. I've got a 89 carribean with a Hardin marine 454 power plant with a Berkeley jet. I'm looking into putting a nice aggressive cam in it as well as an intake manifold to go with it. Maybe a bit more of an air gapped one... What's some suggestions on what I should do?! Not to savy on all the ideal performance engine parts so any help would be great. Thank you!

Eddy Victor Jr. Airgap for intake. dual planes are for tow trucks and motorhomes.

Heads, exhaust, Comp. ratio, impeller size among other things will affect (effect?) cam choice.

GO roller, when you are gonna do it. Carb upgrades will be in the future, too.

Where are you at and where do you wanna be?

Like mash on it says.... There is a whole laundry list of information needed before a knowledgeable recommendation can be made.

You can screw this up so bad it's crazy.
