Has anyone tried this? Will the paint hold up to the temp of the logs? Thanks!
-
I seam to have seen it before. Any problems would probably be near the head where the heat still builds up, coating would get soft.
-
nope, gotta get it ceramic coated. they have alot of colors now that they do ;D ;D
-
There are high temp powder coatings. Check out Caswell or Eastwood or Powder by the Pound.

If you look at the coatings that Embee uses on all those headers that everyone is running dry at the drag races and holding up , a water jacketed log should be no problem eh ???

dont do it,, haha

Thanks for the advice so far guys. Looks like there is both ceramic powder and now a high temp regular powder, so I'm gonna go ahead.
B4 I coat the logs I want to weld them to my snails. I want to get rid of the joint and clean up the look a bit. Has anyone welded theirs? Got any advice?
