Title: Can somebody clarify how to properly adjust my hose connection/header water jacket valve?
Post by: BMoseleyINC on October 01, 2014, 01:48:31 PM
Picture attached. There is the hose connection, with a Valve down the way towards the transom. When I fire it up on the trailer, I get water out of the exhaust, and Jet. Where should I run the valve? All the way right and it will stop, same as left. I had it about in the middle. Any help appreciated. At one point it was idling at about 220 degrees, at the dock after a few minutes of throttle linkage adjustment. Thanks. Logs and snails BTW.

You actually shouldnt run it on the trailer with the driveline attached (but to each his own) If you do, water out the exhaust and pump is normal.

In the water if its getting hot fully open the valve and adjust accordingly to get to your desired temp.
