carb size

What would be the recommendation on a carb size for my boat? I know it kinda is hit and miss but right now I have a 850 dp carb and wonder if there's more to be had. It's a stock 460 with dove c heads with the larger valves, 27h cam,  roller rockers, offenHauser tunnel ram intake. Right now it's setup with the single carb top on it but I have the dual carb plate.
It runs very clean with the 850 holly but I thought about trying two Carter 625 carbs or I have dominator 1200 cfm that I can get from a buddy.
I'm just looking for opinions on if that's pushing it too much for a fairly stock motor.

Never really heard of anyone having great success with a single carburetor on a TR. That being said, I would love to see what the two 625's would do...

Do you have any idea what your manifold vacuum readings are at WOT? that is what determines where you are ultimately.

I Just got a set of holley 600 carbs specially made from holley for a tunnel ram setup. They came without chokes and long vent tubes 6.5 4 window hp power valves high flow needle valves 110 66 jets number 9 rear metering plates 25 squirters and quick fuel adjustable vacume housings. Im gonna put on it and see where I stand.

I going to suggest you change out the power valves to a 3.5 just to slow down how quickly the added fuel comes in.  You have to keep in mind that a jet boat has very little load until about 3000 rpm and with the 6.5s it might be a little much.
