DON'T do it!! Car headers look like crap-

I ran SPRINT car headers on a SBC, Down side up, they look better than the Bassetts in design, and BBQ gray would last 2 or 3 trips.

Speedway and Schoenfeld have BBC sprint car headers for a reasonable price...http://www.schoenfeldheaders.com/CBB-SPRINT.htm (http://www.schoenfeldheaders.com/CBB-SPRINT.htm)
The heat WILL be a concern. My sprint car headers have water injection, and 'baffles', I've been checked for baffles MORE than once

There is usually a set of used Bassetts for sale here and other sites, too

They will bolt up, but the tube location to the bolt holes are offset enough that they will not line up properly, and the flange will cover about a quarter of the port, and have a pretty gnarly exhaust leak. Plus, I'd imagine the flanges may get in the way of the spark plugs, depending on how they are cut. So... short version is... you can, but shouldn't.

This also goes for gaskets...  upside down gaskets really can be a lame situation... not that I have ever done that before... ???

They're a little ugly, but I was going to use some DEI header wrap to hide a few sins and buy some life from them...

The water lines are not by any means perfect, but they'll work.  ;)
