Title: Carb help for my 455 olds

The boat has a 600cfm edelbrock 1406, on a 455 olds. What is the best way to go edelbrock or holly carburetors? Should I rebuild this one or replace it with a hollY?

It's going to be a personal preference. Personally I like holley. Had an edelbrock carb , and hated it!!! I have an olds 455 and I'm running an holley dp 780 .

Will the Holley fit on a performer edelbrock manifold?

A holley should fit on a performer, I run a holley 4150 on a edelbrock air gap

A Holley 850 DP should work just fine on your 455. That's what I'm running on mine.

I ran a Quickfuel 850 on mine. Worked for me

If your currently rocking a 600cfm ontop a stock 455 you dont need a $5,000 super adjustable 850cfm.  Yeah we all wanna say we got one but you dont need it

now Aluminum Intake and a 750cfm would be nice and gain lil power.  Its your money and your boat.

You don't need a choke but the marine 750cfm mechanical secondaries is the way to go
