I have a nitrous settup up on my camaro, and would never do it again. Nitrous itself is a great power adder, but can only provide that "boost" for a limited amount of time. If you are racing 1/4 mile runs and only useing the n2o for 10-12 seconds, it is fine, but to run it for an extended period would require you to have impracticlly large amounts of nitrous, to keep the power comeing. Plus, the nitrous/ fuel ratio changes as bottle pressure drops, so you would need to factor that in as well. If I ever do it again, I will just go with a blower, since the engine has to built strong either way. That way the power level you want is always there. In my boat, I just have a 12:1 454. Nothing high tek about it, but it makes good power, and if you are stuck running high octane fuel anyway, it just seems easy to make alot of power with high compression,---no blower, or nitrous.
