I have a stock Hardin Marine 454 with peanut heads. For a Holley 750 street avenger with vacuum sec and electric chock. Would this be a good carb to put on my boat. Any input would be nice.

750 or 850 is fine. I would go with manual secondary's. No choke 👍👍👍

x2 on the mechanical secondaries and no need for a choke.

I run a stock marine motor and a 750 is plenty big. I run vacuum secondaries on mine and it runs good. If the boat is going to be used for cruising and not hauling ass all the time vacuum secondaries are better on fuel. Mine has a 4010 Holley which is not a great carb but it sure runs good

Well I was gonna buy the carb but found out the carb might not be the issue. The boat can't run past 4000 rpms and if I get it on it real quick it just stalls out. I was talking with someone at J&M and he thinks it my HEI dis. When I bought the boat it came with a procomp HEI and he thinks that's the issue. So I went ahead and bought the MSD HEI. Let's hope this fixes it.

What does your motor do after you hit 4100. Mine just craps out and sputters.

I ran a 750 vac secondary for years worked fine and now running a 850 mech with mild built motor.... way better on my cruiser and fuel is about the same. If carb is built right it will run right...

I have a stock 454 and mild cam, 750 edelbrock carb. Running an "A" cut impeller. I can only get about 4200 rpm.
