It's was time wake up the tahiti for the summer. Went to start it, it will turn over but will not start, when i put gas through the carb it fires right up but wont stay idle. I pretty much checked everything, any suggestions.

Check your fuel pump. My Camaro was doing the same after it sat for a while

The fuel pump is getting pressure, may have to blow out the Jets or somthing

An old timer showed me a trick that might help you, may want to wear some safety glasses or just be careful not to get anything into your eyes. spray some carb cleaner into the over flow tubes on both bowels using the straw for a good 5 seconds, then fill the bowels with gas through the over flows until full. Pump the pedal a few times to see if any thing is squirting. If not dump some gas down the carb have someone bump the key to fire it up, soon as it fires bump the throttle to bring the rpms up and use a towel to choke the carb. It should suck fuel right through the jets.

SoCal - I will try it and see if it works.

Also check to see if the air bleeds are clear and maybe a vacuum leak.

Make sure you don't have the gas can over the carb when you start it!!!!!

Rubber lines? May have crack or hole.
