Need opinions, going to setup the boat this year with an offy tunnel ram on my BBF. I have two sets of carbs, both Holley mechanical secondaries. One set is 750's the other set is 660 center squirt and opinions on which is better or worse ?

If it was me I'd go with the 660's there all ready proven to work well on a tunnel ram

I run 660s on my tr on a 455 and there bitchin. Everyone bitches about how they suck gas but there honestly not bad. Its not a prius by any means but whatever. There made for tunnel rams id run those

I know on my setup its a veryyyy tight fit. So tight we had to grind off the holley logo on the middle bowls.

Ya but i have metereing plates on the back of both carbs and im almost positive stock 660s dont come with metering plates

I run #6109 750 dp in line and my clearances are good, and they have secondary metering blocks with side hung bowls..... The difference is the 750s are prob dps and are progressive throttle linkage from primary to secondary barrels while 660s are 1:1 meaning all 4 (8 in a dual setup) open at the same time.... Really it prob doesn't matter cuz if ur running dual carbs on a tunnel ram, the last of ur concerns is mpg

How did the engines run at low to mid range? I know wot they're great. I'm thinking of installing an offy to with 660 carters on a mild 460

I haven't ran it yet. Motor is being rebuilt and 660's are at the carb shop being completely redone. I'll try and update as soon as I do. Better run fucking tits after all the money I'm puting into motor and carbs !
