I have a Torker 455 and a 770cfm Holley carb. I already have a 2inch spacer but I'm wondering if it's necessary to buy a 4inch instead and what's the difference?

I'm running a Edelbrock torker with a 1" spacer . I think a 4 inch is to much .

I ran a little 1 inch spacer for about 3 runs then went to a 4 inch spacer now when I run the spacer air gets ice cold better for fuel and air mixture.

When you are dealing with carb spacers it is best to try them out on a dyno to see what they do. I had one on a 468 that I was dyno testing, and this particular engine had some mixture distribution issues caused by a 2" open spacer. We tried some other combinations, finally ended up with a 1" four hole spacer on a 1" open spacer. This corrected all the mixture distribution issues and the engine picked up 40 hp. It depends what the engine likes, and I have no other explanation.

I haven't tryed on a Dino because it has no airflow going down the scoop to cool the fuel down. When I was testing mine u can see the ice cold on the front of the spacer. Looks like when u have a high rise intake manifold and u are running the front of the high rise is almost frozen

Or, in lieu of stacking spacers up, trying using an Edelbroch Victor intake. Your air charge velocity and throttle response might crisp up a bit.

I also don't like putting a bunch of adapters for square bore on top of a spread bore intake.
