Hey guys I apologies if this is a dup post I am struggling to find any searchers with similar issues. I "inherited" a holley 4150 that has seen minimum maintenance. So the 1st thing I did was clean and rebuild it. We ran it for 1 seasons without issue. Then while checking some fuel lines I tracked down a nasty buildup of white powder in both inlets and both bowls. its Thick, 1/16 to 1/8" and creeps up the bowls and inch and a half from the bottom. Definatly looks like evap, but I never expected this much sediment. I didnt add stabilizer last year. The last gas we ran was 100LL from the havasu airport.... what did I do wrong? Both inlets are red with rust. I did put in a brand new water separator, be it already looks rough. how can i avoid this in the future. please and thank you. p.s. I am replacing any part on the old holley that are even hinting at rust.

I had the same thing happen when I ran av gas, but it was not as bad as yours. I was told to pour a cap full of marvel mystery oil in the gas tank, and have never had a problem since.
