Changed starter and now have no start.
« on: August 01, 2019, 09:33:55 PM »
Changed the starter on my 460 ford and now have a no start. I went from a older ford starter to a 93 f350 style starter. I notice the old starter has one pole on it and the new has two. It cranks but no spark. Could I switch it to the ther pole? Any thoughts? Can’t find any diagrams. New one is the smaller brass one.

Where did the black/heat shrunk wire that was attached with the single yellow wire end up?

All the wires are on the big pole, except for the signal wire. I’m wondering if it gets wired through the other pole? This newer starter has two poles on it.

Anyone have any pics of the wiring of their early 90s 460 starter installed?
