i got the motor back set up like this but my oil pressure switch does not fit in the hole that they left open. do i just plug the bigger one and use the one that is already plugged. or do i get a different oil pressure sending switch.

is that available at any parts store. they are limited up here. we do have a napa though..hahha

Napa should have that. Otherwise try a good hardware store. If none of those pan out I've probably got one laying around that you can have but I won't be out that way till the weekend. (I'm in Redondo, boats in Diamond Bar)

when you say reducer you just mean like a step down right. one that will adapt the oil pressure sending unit to fit the hole in the block?

Ya............I had to use a 45* angled brass one cuz it hit my rail kit.

I think that #2 hole is 3/8" and your sender should be 1/8". You can get a reducers for that in brass at your Napa.

Go to McFadden Dale Hardware - 1/2 the price of a Napa, and you will have more to chose from that you know!

yours looks a lot different than mine. but thanks that shows some options that i did not think about. i just figured it should screw right into the block. it is better to mount the pressure switch in the upright position like you have.

It doesn't care. Mount it so it fits.
The switch needs to be grounded though, so don't put it via nylon tube or anything...
