Awesome castings....that require very big bucks to set up; money should be no object with C460 heads. They basically require all proprietary parts...proprietary valves, rockers, pistons, even offset lifters. In most cases those heads are used in engines that might regularly operate over 7000 rpm. If that's how you intend to run your engine, then fine...but bear in mind that such high rpm engines require further fundage and not just the finances being dropped into the heads for the upper rpm breathability. $5000-$6000 is a realistic estimattion for competing the heads, and those expenditures are a drop in the bucket (a drop in the bucket) for what you will have to spend on the rest of the engine. If you are not building a sustained 7500+ rpm engine nor do you want to spend the money required, then get the A460 heads for about $3100 fully assembled and complete with intake manifold, and you will have components that can manage over 1000hp with carbs and gas if you know what you are doing.

If you do in fact want to build the high rpm screamer with the C460 heads, then get out your VISA card.  >:D

C460 heads are wild.  First off, look at where the installed seats meet the cast bowls. They look as bad as ProComps...although in this case of the C460's are intentionally sold as bare, unfinished castings, so to speak. The idea of offering this very high-end cylinder head this way is so that the end user may set up the heads ultra-specific to his engine program.  Looking at the bowls, the amount of bowl blending (after the throat cutter) is just one example of the amount of handiwork required to set these heads up. I am aware of several CNC porting programs for these heads, and even a pushrod thru-hole CNC program.

Also, locate the 4 head bolt holes around a combustion chamber and then notice the location of the intake valve guide and exhaust vave guide relative to the bore center. You'll notice that the intake valve is pushed toward the center of the bore which crowds the exhaust valve against the side of the cylinder; it's all about filling the cylinder with as much air/fuel as is possible.  These are not poly-angle heads like the OEM 460 stuff, just a straight shot to the center of the bore.  ;)
