Any body using this dizzy ?

Im thinking about going this route and eliminate some extra wires and ballast/coil Im running a BBC 454

I burned up 2 modules in a dizzy like that trying to start a SBC for break-in  :-\

Will an HEI clear you intake manifold?

I sold Accell back in the mid 90's with very little problems.

STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER! If I'm not mistaken, your boat HAS a dizzy in it, right? WTF is wrong with it? This is what I meant the other day when I said you just need to get stuck in and finish it. Change shit out as you go, make improvements to your running boat. I'm not trying to be a dick, just hoping to shed some light on things for you, a fresh set of eyes so to speak.

 Thanks Skip , i know what you are saying... I had to tear it all out today so i can mount a breaker inline and as i looked at my engine.....No wires , no ballast , no coil hanging off the back ... It just looks clean and simple..

just need 2 wires for an HEI and you cant beat it.....  This is something i have been contemplating for months and i think im going that route... Its not gonna put the boat back anylonger than it is now, im hoping to fire it next month and get it wet soon after ;) I like that dizzy cause there is no vacuum advance...... just wanted to see if anybody has had experience good or bad with it ;)

Accell always used to be "good Stuff" used it back in the day on my door slammers , always good sucess, we been selling /useing the Summit brand and new Petronics , very nice quite reasonable and "programable" (first is Summit 2nd is Petronics marine Billet  , got the long deal on both)Tom

Ok, if you're hell bent on doing it, at least give my friend Dave Ray a call, he makes bitchin "small body" HEI setups, priced right, look great, work even better. I ran one in several different hot rods and never had a problem.

Nuttin wrong with that Bud just that most HEIs are limited in advance curve and rate choices , I ran one in my Blown Bahner but it was locked out maybe Skips guy has options ?
