So most of you who know me i like thinking out side of the box...anyway this question is to ask some of the pros what they think and maybe help others...so after some research of some cooling methos for a jet boat it seems there is a large consensus of restricting the dump line for more equal water distribution to the block...so i came across these inserts that will fit in your thermostat housing "replacing the thermostat" with a washer more or less...the kit consist of 3 restrictors with hole sizes of 1inch, 3/4, 5/8...i have been thinking of getting them for shits n giggles to see what happens...wouldnt that be the same thing as putting a gate valve on the dump line. ..that looks like shit btw....you could take them with you to the lake an adjust accordingly until you got the temp you like...im not saying its a no brainer but once again something i have been smoking on....also the 3 restrictors are 8 bucks for all 3 what does everyone think?

Oldsquirt told me the same thing on my setup. He's right methinks. Although I AM contemplating utilizing the rear block drains as well as the front inlets on Moo 2.0, and just 2 straight O/B dumps. Still in the thought process on that.......But she'll be running dry, most likely, and if wet, just like you, plumb the water lines from the pump to a driver's valve to the headers. I'm done with the "T" valve......... :banghead:
If I do both, gonna look somewhat like a stacker valve on a backhoe, which is FAR uglier than a gate valve (that does nothing good)would look... ;D

not sure about reinventing the wheel, because, bassett wants a valve on the dump to help regulate the t-valve for the headers wich i think is :screwy: and i have done it their way and did not like it.
however, if you were running a pressure relief valve im not sure it would matter ???

Instead of buying restrictors just gut out an old thermostat. That's what worked great on my drag car.

I run a enderle check valve on the inlet before the motor. I have three diffrrent size jets I can change according to the water temp where I am running at. One is drilled completly out , one is drilled out to half the diameter and the other is a littlebit smaller. seems to work great at keeping my operating temp around 180 to 200. It also keeps water from draining back out so the block always has water in it when I start it. On the out it is unregulated so the block see's almost no pressure. And it looks clean!
