Post by: GAWnCA on August 11, 2007, 10:22:22 AM
Can anyone tell me the pros and the cons of using copper pipe in the water cooling system of a BBF?

Thanks in advance,
Greg

I thought it would look pretty cool, polished up, clear coated, and manifolds made to go to the header water inlet pipes.

The only thing I can think of is keeping it polished so it does not "patina" I have no clue how thats spelled but basically turn green

A clear powder coat would stop that.  I think I'll try it for the Header pipes, where the water enters.  I really don't like this system.  Small tube means it could plug up.  Oh, it did plug up on the last owner and that's why the pipes are blue.

I'll let you know how it goes.

So, I guess I'll start with a manifold for the exhaust pipes.
