Please don't laugh at this rookie. I've been trying to get my engine , set in the boat. I've read just about everything I could read on this subject from this page. This is why I'm reaching out for help. I cannot seem to get my engine to sit right to get the driveline angle to be within spec. I have same Gen engine same rail kit with mounts as previous owner. Only difference is my oil pan is 1/8 deeper then his. I love raised the front , drop the back done just about everything I think I could possibly do to get this thing to sit correctly. My pump is set at 4° my engine with mounts sits at 4° and my drive is still ready 16°. From what I've read this is waaaaayyyyy to far from being ok. If any one is willing to come over and look at what I'm fighting. I am opened mined and have a fridge full of beers or whatever your poison is to make it worth your wild. Like I said I've read all the driveline post and tried most of what I could. Just not feeling very positive about my situation. In advance Thanks.

Where are you located?
I do them the same every time.
Dead straight, then up on all four corners to achieve 1.5 to 3° of joint angle.

Fullerton . I can't achieve zero without my pan bottoming out on intake bolt. Think the best I got was like 6 and that was with it touching. Don't remember exact number my brain is being fried from the stress

IMHO you need a jet boat specific pan or a longer drive line.

Look up Hamburgers, Stefs, Dooley, Milodon, Canton. They all make a pretty nice jet boat pan with a shallow sump.

my engine builder said my oil pan is a jet boat pan 10qt hamburger. It is 8" deep. Now if it comes down to me getting a new pan what is the rule of thumb on the qt quantity it should hold. I'm really hoping someone can come over and look at what I got going on and tell me I just missing something obvious.

Are the front intake bolts excessively long? Usually it is required to trim them so only about 1 thread is sticking out of the nuts.

not anymore, I already cut them down to that point

8" is deep for a jet. Most actual jet boat pans are 7-1/2" depth.
8" is the same as a truck pan.
Not that I would know anything about that though. .....

I'm throwing in the towel on this one buddy came over took some pics of my issues going to go show his partners at their boat shop. I'll keep you'll posted on the cost of my situation. Thanks GT for your insight. Looking like a different pan will be coming soon

my neighbor grew up with the guys at place diverters he taking the all the pictures he took of my engine/drive train to then. Hopefully they can answer my calling. But thanks I've heard a lot of good things about GS. I was hoping to making it out to the TP memorial I January to meet a few of you guys. So at this point I throw out some bucks to get my engine seated right and hopefully I can finish the rest myself by then

Heat the pan and whack it with a ball peen hammer in the troublesome spot. Done! O0

It sounds to me like your pan is too deep the output shaft of the engine and the input shaft of the pump have to be in alignment if they are not your pan is too deep
