Title: CP 460 Ford Thermostat kit
Post by: bac Tahiti on May 15, 2010, 08:51:27 PM
460 Ford

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not a good project at this time......

Just recieved present, a ford 460 thermostat kit, I had a harden with a manual valve to regulate the temp of the motor, never fun.
Problem is the bolts are to long by a 1/4" and no instructions to properly mount on my jet.

Anyone have instructions on the kit?  or Pictures????? :banghead:  Been to the web site of CP Performance but not instruction.  Will be calling them on Monday.....

You may want to give CP Performance a call since this thread is 3 years old, not very many guys run thermostats on here.

I dont think it really fits fords.

My stock housing was milled big enough for the T-Stat on my 460

Then a 3/16 hole on each side of the T-Stat (Bypass)

This keeps your at a temp like 160* for me or whatever u want it @
