Ford 460 headers

Just wanted to know. Can I use lets say some hooker headers that are for a truck and use them in my boat? You know just flip them over and put them on the other side. Upside-down? Will it work ?  :screwy:

They will physically mount up , just look a little funny!

No, it will not work because the exhaust manifold studs are at different distances from either side of the exhaust port (LH is different distance from port wall then RH); therefore, when you bolt the headers on upside down the port alignment will be WAY off.

Interesting!! I have seen it done but never really thought of it that way! I bet the people doing don't even have a clue.
