Title: Do I need a T- Valve?

I am new to jets and was wondering if it is necessary to have a valve or pressure regulator? Idont think my boat had one. It just was hooked up from t-stat and waterpump inlets.Thanks

I have a pressure gauge, and I run a single 5/8ths hose into the logs, 1/2 inch to the block, and dual 5/8ths out the back. I have around 18psi at 5K.

In my case I do not need one.

If you have bassett, or bassett type headers(injected), Imo you need a t valve. If your running log style exaust then no you don't.

I was running just a Bassett T valve and Pressure valve. The T valve went south and milkshaked my engine. I now run a Banderlog set up.

Speedymopar, I have the same set up as you. Same size hose going into my logs, So I guess I could put a guage on it and Ill be fine.

Greg is correct IMO , we recommend you plumb the "pressure T into the system along with the valve you have in line in the pic ,about 60 bucks please call if we can help Tom @ JBP
