Hello everyone,
i am new here and signed up to help me learn as i go through building my project boat. i figure this is the best place to post this question if not please show me where.
i am going to be running blown BBC setup and am wondering how the cooling system is plumbed with a jetdrive installed. i know the jet has a discharge port for engine water supply which i will run to a raw water screen with a pressure regulator built into it. i also read the optimum pressures are to be regulated down to a high of 20psi and low range of 16-18 to prevent blown headgaskets, is this correct? also i would like to know how the average plumbing is done since im running a more race style motor i dont believe i will have a thermostat, bad idea or will i be ok?
i have been repairing cars and rebuilding motors or transmissions for a while now so i have a bit of technical knowledge (i am by no means the man just saying i know some stuff), if i could get a reply with technical terms that would be great the more i learn the better.
Thanks,
Alex
