boat has been sitting for about a year.......ran perfect but it was stored and i never started it......so i dont want to hurt anything internally and or jet wise.....what is best to do with it.......fuel is about 1 year old .......can i add a additive to oil and a different one in fuel and slow start......then change oil and get it ready.......fuel has to be around 80 octane now
-
if it was me I would get a cheap 12v fuel pump and get all the old fuel out and put fresh but thats me and change the oil and disconnect the coil and crank it over a couple times to get the oil thru the engine
-
in a perfect world get some new gas in it, new oil, as stated above crank it a few times without the ign on, disconnect drive line, hook it up to a hose, start it and then slowly turn the hose on, not full blast. let it run for a while... preferably at like 5am on sunday. your neighbors will thank you. truuust me.

live in a association.............just got yelled at ....it was parked longer than 3 hrs........president lives directly behind the ass of boat.......so i will time it at 5am and run it for a little bit...........shut down wait till they just get back asleep and fire it up again......till they come out and i say i will have it longer than 3 hours during normal business hours........

how long can gas sit around for before its no good? i have aluminum tanks so im not worried about the tanks but more about the quality of gas?...boat has been sitting unfired since about last october/november.

I have let gas sit for up to 4 months no problem but once you get to the 5-6 and up it starts to go.
