Oil leaking from head

Pulled off the logs noticed oil dripping out of bolt hole under exhaust manifold. Is this normal ? Something to worry about. In between cylinder #6 and #8.

I'm not seeing oil, I'm seeing a potential water leak, pretty common, if it's oil, pull the spark plug and check that out.

GT it is oil. I had the motor tipped a little towards that side. What am I looking for when I pull the plug? #6 or #8? It is essential blocked off with manifold. I just trying to fix oil leak so I want to address any potential issues.

Make sure it isn't just leaking down from the valve cover / breather if equipped.  If it is oil leaking out the head gasket on a performance engine you are likely on borrowed time.  You can seal it with Permatex black or JB Weld.  Clean it well with brake-clean beforehand.  You of course run the risk of blowing a head gasket leading to more costly repairs.  Maybe a good time to pull the heads and freshen them up.  If you do the grunt work yourself it should cost less than $1,000.

Thank you, it is not leaking from breather maybe the head bolt? Should I put sealant on the head bolt right above exaust port. Not a head gasket leak, unless you are taking about through bolt hole?

Pull that one bolt and clean it up, coat it with some PTFE paste and torque all the head bolts. Let it rip.

That is a blind hole.  If there were a crack, it would be into the water jacket before it gets into the oil, but a crack there would be unlikely.

The oil must be coming from somewhere else or was trapped in there when the log was installed.

So what that is, is some oil (likely from adding oil) got trapped in that depression and the gasket does not cover that threaded hole, allowing out to fill the hole with oil. It didn't ooze out until you removed the manifold...

You're cool, put it back together and run it until parts tap you on the foot or shoulder. Lol

I ad oil on the other side, but I had motor tipped top this side unfortunately I wiped off log when I removed. That long bolt gets high temp thread sealant? It was stinky and had carbon on the end

Yep, I think that oil just welled up in that spot and got into that hole. I feel you are chasing a non-problem.

Thank you gt. Thread sealant on long arp bolt? I'm finally tackling rear main, I posted picture of oil pressure sender I think that was the problem.
