Title: Electric fuel pumps

Looking for a good electric fuel pump to feed a single dominator 1050. Motor is a 540ci making a little over 700hp n/a. What are you guys running?

Will this 5/16” fuel line be enough to supply it? Or dose it need to be bigger?

At least 3/8 prolly more like an-10. You want the volume  to get it there.

Anyone got pictures of where you mounted your fuel pump! Need some ideas where to mount it!

I’d definitely go bigger, I’m putting 1/2” pickups in my tanks instead of the 3/8” pickups that are in there. I blew my 600hp motor up because I didn’t have enough volume.

I’m not a big fan of electric pumps especially on play boats, but it is a hood idea to mount it as low as you can get it. (obviously not on the floor of the boat) Electric pumps are pushers not pullers and last longer when there mounted below the fuel level. I usually mount them on the inside of the stringer behind the engine. I don’t have any pics because like I said I usually use mechanical pumps

I have a Holley blue pump to feed 2 750’s with no issues. I think it would be plenty for a single dominator. I have 1/2” lines from each side tank teed into the pump which is mounted on a piece of aluminum, mounted to the inside of the stringer, behind the motor. From there, it feeds the filter, to the fuel block, to the carbs. All the same size line. Sorry no pic.
Like mentioned, it helps to have it lower. If it’s been a while, I have to “prime” the pump by disconnecting the lines at the tank and fill them with gas.
The Holley can be opened up on the bottom and you can see the pump mechanism. I sometimes open it up to make sure the screen is clear and “lube” it with WD 40 to make sure the moving parts aren’t stuck.
A lot of people like the Aeromotive pumps, but they can be pretty expensive.
