Title: Engine builder I'd numbers??? Need help

I have a bbc in a 85 Eliminator
On the front of the block..drivers side under the forward facing part the the head there is a number stamped DCBY510
can anyone share any info on that. I'm guessing it's the engine builders I'd number????

The cast numbers are there on the bellhousing side....I'm looking for information on the stamped numbers on the front of the engine block...

51096 could be a date 5-10-96. 

I haven't seen a machine shop go into that much detail for parts identification.

That makes sense  as a build date....do any engine builders go by the abbreviations DCBY
