hi guys. i'm working on getting my 454 installed in front of my Jacuzzi WJ. the hull previously had a Ford installed and ugly mounts. i plan on running my rails and blocks and mounting plates. i know there is a slight angle that my engine should be at off of the jet. what is that angle? and what do i measure that angle from? where do i begin with this project? any info is appreciated. thank you. :banghead:

ok. so i read your thread on your engine installation. my question is; do i measure the engine angle off the top of the intake manifold? not sure. also, do i assemble the rails to the blocks and mounting plates then set the angle and drill the plates and stringer? forgive my ignorance. :screwy: i'm gonna read it again... :banghead:

set the rails where you want them (usually just below the rounded edge of the stringer), set the motor on the rails, take the angle off the oil pan rail of the block( or if you have the intake off the motor you can put a straight edge front to back of the block) adjust the angle by trimming the motor plates
hope this helps

Is a rail mount going to be ok in a 21 foot mini cruiser?

It should be fine
