So I got a new problem, my boat only seems to be drawing gas from one tank.  It has a switch that should allow you to pick between either tank but it never worked.  It just drew from both at about the same rate, but now it stopped.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your switch is plastic, toss it and either put in a manual valve or get a high quality one from someone like Rex Marine or Eddie Marine... The plastic ones are for RV's and whatnot and never really work very well, we have had nothing but problems with them and most of the time intermittant.

I would also invest some time in checking the pick up tubes in the tanks, some boats use a screen in the bottom of the tube and get plugged up, look for a cracked tube as well...


Good luck, my bet would be a defective valve.  

BTW, I have never been a fan of pulling from both tanks at the same time, especially when the levels get low, I leaned an engine out that way once due to an empty tank and the motor still ran, but I think the fuel pump was aerating the fuel causing a piston burning lean condition....

Yeah, rained cats and dogs here too, and all this morning. More of it coming your way I think. Maybe a blessing I got stuck here! Boat woulda been full of water by the time I got there, lol. Gonna hit Sag tomorrow though.

Also there's a remote electric solenoid/valve if the switch is on the dash, so could be the valve, or a wire simply came off or broke. Mines on the transom, but could be anywhere I suppose. (Check your breakers too, if more than one. I have 2 on the Moo, 1 is for main, the other for anything doing with fuel, like the guage and that whole tank selector circuit)
