20-50 with a high zinc content. Most modern oil doesn't have enough zinc needed for flat tappet cams. This is what I use.

I took a recommendation from Bostick and started running Joe Gibbs XP4 in my last boat and I just changed the oil on my new boat and ran the same stuff. Has plenty of zinc already in it and pretty easy on the wallet.

The xp4 I've gotten it from summit. If i order in the morning I get it next day, but I found it on Amazon for a little cheaper. With prime you can have it in 2 days.

Any recommendations for a sb with a big flat tappet cam? I'm currently running mobile 1 5w-30 oil.
