Title: Engine shut off

Just as I was planning from a dead start the engine shut off. I had 6 + gallons remaining in a 20 gallon tank.
I switched gas tanks and everything was fine. In the past I could get to almost empty and had no problems planning.  Any ideas what caused this?

your pick up tube has a hole in it. that would be my guess.

Did you try switching back and have it die again?  Do both tanks feed a single fuel filter?
