So I'm trying to figure out how these tanks work. There is only 1 white wire that leads off the tank that has since been cut. Does this white wire lead to the fuel gauge ? Or is  it a ground. The tanks are stamped 1978 and are basically brand new looking and clean. Boat was garaged since 87. Original owner. I also will be re doing wiring
