Title: Exhaust rubber tube thru transom exhaust
Post by: jquizy on May 18, 2014, 07:43:15 PM: Anyone one where I can buy this rubber tube for the thru transom exhaust? I melted one of my rubbers now water is spewing , someone at the lake said it wasn't marine what was on my boat (too thin) last time I had it out it was fine, these are on Eddie marine high rise thru transom

why did you melt the originals?

Last time I was out I did not have this issue and they still flexed fine, suddenly this trip I heard a exhaust leak and realized one had melted. It's a small quarter size hole could they just be old? I know this boat sat outside for a couple years

Post by: ka0tyk on May 18, 2014, 08:37:18 PM: The hose is only good for a couple hundred degrees. How is your water flow thru that side of the exhaust? Do you have a kinked hose or something blocking the flow. If your exhaust is hot you're just gonna burn up a new hose.

The burned hose is the result of a problem. Now you gotta find what caused it.

I have 2 sections I took out of my boat since I'm switch to OT pipes... Where are you located?
