Q/A DOES ANYBODY RUN A FLAME ARRESTER WITH A FORMULA 500 style scoop in a open motor

I never have. I know most guys don't with a fiberglass scoop.

I do when I go to my local lakes when it's required sometimes I'm to lazy to take them out but it has saved me from getting road and fwy rocks towing to the river too
