Can you find a water pump for a Ford 460?
It's pretty normal for these to run about 140°F (60°C). How cold does yours run?  Norway?  Now that's awesome.  Welcome!

It's my opinion that with a closed cooling system that our would be completely unnecessary.

Throttle down the water flow a little and see what happens.

The gate valve should be about 1.5 to 2 turns closed from wide open.
At the dock, idling, SLOWLY close the valve till it's at a stable ~150*F (65*C)
Cruise temp should read 135*-140*F (57*C-60*C) or so...

The reason I like a 3/4" valve is because I feel it affords a better range of flow.

It's just less temperamental.

The proper way to adjust it is to let the engine idle (has to be in the water) and slowly start to close the valve down,  the temperature should start to rise,  once it gets near 140°F- 150°F your should be good.

Take it for a spin and you will likely see the temp drop to between 120°F and 140°F.

If it gets way too cold,  you will need to reduce your outlet fitting inside diameter slightly.
