Your sender is FUBAR or the wrong one for the gauge..There are three different variations of senders that I am aware of...

GM 90ohm, works friggen backwards (open reads full) reads empty when 90ohms applied.

SW (Stewart Warner) type 240ohm, reads empty when open, reads full when 240ohms applied.

Ford, Mopar, 190ohm (I think), reads empty when open and full when 190ohms applied.

The only one I am not 100% sure of is the Ford deal, which you should not have, most boat and fuel tank manufacturers use the SW dealios...

Use an ohmmeter to find out what the resistance on the sender is (from ground to the pole of the sender)....

Good luck!

Ohhhh Ok then. Sounded like a new development, which it is, but from a different manner. Have similar issues with the fuggin tach on the Blue boat, just don't care any more, know it ain't spinning above 4k, lol

I would leave it Ray, it seems on my boat, every time the tach reads higher numbers, the fuel gauge starts to drop (you can almost watch it move)   ;D
You should be getting killer mileage  ;)

Yeah I do, but not for long if I have my way! I can run it ALL DAY and use maybe 1/3 of it's tanks, and that's WITH the gasoline smell! Which I beleive is the carb.  (Three lake trips, haven't filled up again yet).

But just freaking bugging me, lol Should leave the fugger alone, but not gonna. >:D

Boy I fukered that up...After checking, I have to correct myself.... ;D

The Ford Mopar dealio is as follows...Also works in reverse like the GM unit, but at 70ohms will read empty, open will read full.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue  :sly: ;D  (Airplane!)
