One is for an automatic the other is for a manual. One throws the bendix out 3/8 of an inch the other 3/4 of an inch not sure which. Does anyone know the part numbers. Igot the 3/4 throw on but i need to get the 3/8 throw. :banghead:

Dunno. Are you coming to the Father's day deal at BR? I've got probably 6 or 7 460 jet boat starters here, plus a few reverse rotation deals. I'll throw a couple in the truck. ;)

Bump. Looking for the right starter for my 460 pulled they one that was on it off and had auto zone cross reference the numbers and come up with this one. After putting it on and trying to start the motor it seemed like it's binding. The old starter did not have shims and the new one didn't come with any. Do I need to shim it or is the new starter wrong.
