Hey, I have no problem finding the BBC numbers but I cant figure out what my ford numbers are! Heads are C8AE-H and the block numbers that I found are 42 352. Any help on this one guys?

i think the heads are 67/68 and the block will be dove-a or d1ve

The C8AE-H are dime-a-dozen Ford 390 FE passenger car heads. Chances are that you have an FE Series 390, but given all the years that have passed since that engine came from the factory the heads could be from a different engine and installed onto your current FE shortblock.

Yah, My bad! Guess I shoulda said its a 390FE. Guy said it was out of a 60s mustang but I cant find anything. People are emailin me asking about casting numbers on the Howard and I got curious.. Usually never a good thing.

I found some more numbers on the drivers side of the block by the oil filter (Thanks Propless!) The numbers are 30 DIF. I pulled the logs off both sides of the block to find these.. and I cant find ANYTHING with those numbers. Anyone know?
