Title: Ford Motor Mounts
Post by: Nordie on March 19, 2008, 07:25:54 PM
Alright quick question since im amongst blue oval guys...I got the cradle motor mount setup that makes it look like the motor is floating type deal...anyway they actually use a rubber motor mount that bolts up to the motor itself, in the factory location...where the hell can i find a replacement for that...i was thinking i could goto carquest and try to match it, but i figured i should come to you guys first and make an ass out of myself... :banghead:

I have the same setup and just took my old mounts to autozone and we had to look through the book and order them. They were in the next day.

I use to own a 1970 "T" Bird and the problem with that was it had a 460 in it, and what really was going on, that year of "T" Bird, with the exception of a few (who knows how many 100's) came with a 429, the 460 version really was a "T" Bird body mounted on the Mark IV which did have a 460.  Once I got that figured out, I would go in and order parts for the Mark IV and take them home and put them on the "T" bird.  So. take a look at mounts for the Mark and see how they look compared to the ones you have.

That's what they keep telling me, but I keep forgetting why.

They say the memory is the second thing to go :)
