What forged piston do you prefer in the jet boat world? What brand name do most of you use? Trying to decide on a piston for my n/a 454 .060 over

Sort of depends on the  compression ratio.

I have had nothing but good luck we J/E, but they are top shelf pistons. I have also heard from my machinist that the SRP line of J/E is awesome for some savings on cost.

You can't miss with Speed Pro for the quality to price ratio.

Whatever you choose, work with your machinist to get the best fit. Don't just rely on automotive clearances...

Avoid hyper at all costs.. They are perfect for building a good running, yet stock car or motor home engine, just not in a boat. Besides, if you do some research, they really are not all that much cheaper. The problem is that they are extremely brittle, they don't break, they explode.
