The reverse is not fully engageing. Can there be adjustments that can be maid

there should be like 3 mounting holes on your forward/reverse lever. you can try a different hole to get a little more motion out of the cable/bucket.

I've seen a few times where the clamp to hold the cable sheath (At the handle end) has come loose, or clamps the cable at such an extreme angle theres no possible way to get full range of motion. Another thing is WHERE the sheath is clamped. Sometimes it's clamped too close or far away from the handle to allow full motion, this is usually due to an improper cable installed. You can also adjust the cable at the handle end, in case you didn't see that.

You said reverse..... :o ::) ???
Jets have two directions of travel....Forward and not forward... :sly:
Like Ray says, throw it in revers (on the trailer) and try to lift the bucket by hand, your problem may be very evident... ;)
