I'm considering changing to fuel injection. I plan to run an O2 with an adapter between my echaust manifold and riser. How do i keep my water temp at above 160? My understanding is that the computer reads engine temp but it must be above 160. Those running EFI, what are you doing to maintain proper water temp with open cooling systems? Im considering using Holley's EFI. Thanks for any input.

I believe the only way to do this is with a recirculating, thermostaticly controlled cooling system.

one Should be able to limit tour water flow??? that will raise water ( block) temp. trial and error. and will probably have to have more than 1 temp gauge , say head temp and block temp.

Most newer Mercruisers are efi, and open cooling, so it's pretty common.
Lower water temperatures are proven to make horsepower. 160 should be the upper limit, hard water and all.
