Title: Fuel Sending Units
Post by: Brad @ SCJB on April 08, 2009, 08:42:30 AM
This is the fuel sending unit that was in the tanks of the Southwind...

Medallion Instraments #B-1321

Is this a common part i can find at any auto store...or is there a common fuel sender i can use in place of this?

while i have the tanks out, i would like to replace this one, and add another one to the other tank and use a toggle switch to view either tank's level.

i dont have time for mailorder as the tanks should be going back in today (pending a call from the repair shop)

Rex has some killer inductive pick ups (no moving parts) If I ever get some spare $ I'm going to own a couple.

Call Socal speed shop, we used to use a universal sending unit in the street rods all the time. They have ajustments for depth and so on.

I used the Electronic ones made by Hardin, but the only place that I know of that has them is JBP.
However, they are the shiznit the guage does not bounce around.

Socal's # 651-1932. Also you may want to write down this number, it's a speed shop near you.

Summit's right there in town too, aren't they? Dunno if they'd have anything you could use or not, or even if they have a retail store there, but would be worth a phone call.
