What's the best wayy to vent my tanks? The tanks are fiberglassed into the hull is there a wayy to modify the caps?when I got the boat all the clamps were loose that connect tha caps to the tank. I don't know if that was his wayy of venting them.

if you have fiberglass tanks ill only say this once... replace them with aluminum for your safety and the safety of others. todays fuels break down fiberglass tanks and can cause leaks, as well as damage to your engine by boating your motors parts with broken down resin. aluminum tanks can be found on craigslist, etc from anywhere between $100-400 depending. they will last forever.
at any rate if you have typical fuel fills like these, then the top is spring loaded and they self vent:

you should use uscg approved fuel fill hose. you wont need much but it runs about $20 a foot. heres what my original hose looked like, cracked, leaky, and brittle:

and the new fuel fill hose, double clamped at both ends with stainless hose clamps not autozone cheapies.

its an easy job and they'll last FOREVER after that and be safe.

Those are the same fills that I have and the tanks are allum but they are glassed in to the hull. Thanks Tad

oh ok sweet. if your fill hose is rotten its pretty tough to replace them short of pulling the tanks out. the hose doesnt bend very easily.

I've got the billet hex with ring, comes with a screen and vent under cap...nice clean and low unlike the flip top.

I drilled out the rivet that holds the two discs together on the cap and it seems to of fixed the problem.

I had the flip caps. I was getting water in the tanks when I would turn. Replaced them with the vented ones from Rex marine. They vent good but I still get water in the tanks. Not as bad though.

I tend to drive and straight for some reason that's the way my boat likes it. It seems like it either whips right around or struggles. Wondering how a skag would react.
