Title: FULL BBC RAIL KIT ON EBAY
Post by: WORD on May 29, 2008, 07:41:59 AM
Just notices this on EBAY.  Looks like a pretty good deal.  Does not appear to be any reserve set.

The only problem with buyting a pre fabbed rail kit is it might not be set for your width of stringer. So far all of the boats I have measured ( somewhere around 10 ) have all been slightly off from each other.

Couldn't you install the rails then re-drill the holes to match your set up?  I could understand if the srtingers were 1" or more further apart might run out of room to drill.  Just wondering?

Ya I do not see a problem with buying used set up as long as it is close to your stringer width. I would even fill in the old holes in the mounts.  ;D
