Flywheel/flexplate bolts 75-85 ft.-lbs.
Pressure plate bolts 35 ft.-lbs.

Thanks all for your input.  I replaced the intake manifold tonight and if its any indication, I better check all the major bolts.  DAMN  one more thing to do and I should have had to since this just came back for the builder.

By the way, I installed the Weiand Stealth Intake Manifold 8012 and there is a smooth bore hole just under the thermostat housing casting.  anyone have any idea what that is for and what tap I should use to plug it or use it for water return?  I tried a 5/8" 18 tap but the 3/8" npt plug doesn't fit and it should by all measurements I've taken. 

It is a heater hose in/outlet.  I used a 5/8 tap, but it seemed a little loose to me also.  I wrapped the plug with some extra pipe thread and used a thin coat of silicone.  It held all the pressure my pump made with one hose to my logs plugged   So I am going to leave it.

Chaz, That's what I used too, 5/8" 18 and the plug I have must have some bad threads or something.  It really doesn't want to even start straight,  I'll give it another shot tomorrow and try teflon tape to start with.  Otherwise I'll be putting in an order to Victor Machinery for a special tap.  Always some damn extra hole to plug or fill.  Why couldn't they have tapped it and be done with it.

Mine came with a smooth pipe to press into that hole.  The 1st time I tried clamping a rubber end cap to it...  After it blew off the second time I decided a more permanent plug was in order.  I read on here somewhere they sell pipe thread taps at Lowes but I went to Ace to get stainless hardware and thought it should work.

So, What size tap did you end up buying?  I bought a 5/8"  18 NF tap, it's just a bit too small.

Well, this morning I went to Ace Hardware (Yankee) and bought a 3/8" NPT tap.  Worked great but the plug is still a little loose so I'll wrap more teflon tape and tighten it up and call it good.  Now it's on to getting the carb mounted.

your never going to take it out....just JB Weld the damn thing in......

I figured it out.  I put one of my water return fittings in there and it fit like a glove with the Teflon tape and I plugged off one of the outlets on the thermostat housing.  All done now.  I've got a good friend who loves JB Weld so if I were going to do that, I'd let her mess with that. 

Well, I'm in the process of getting everything back together.  Nothing really fancy until I know this sucker is going to run longer than 30 minutes.  What I've got so far.  Then next fall/winter it all comes apart... DAMN another set of gaskets...  to be repainted and new billet parts replacing the old stock crap.  I would like to get one good season of fun out of it and then maybe it will motivate me to do more work.
