So I've re-wired more than 10 cars/trucks so far with most of them being pre-1949 hot rods. I've also wired up a few boats and trailers in my day. I like using GM altenators with built in regulators for their wiring simplicity, their reliability, and I can go down to the local Pick Your Part and buy one for $12.50 with a 30 day warranty. The problem is that the only way that I know how to wire them up is to use a light bulb, er idiot light. Does anyone here know how to wire one of these suckers up without an idiot light?
