I have a BBC with 049 heads that i studded. My issue is that the logs i have are the cooled flange type and they wont fit with studs. Anybody dealt with this problem? Any insight would be appreciated.

The flanges on my dry headers also hit the studs on my bbc... i took a flap disc to studs till the flanges cleared....lol maybe not optimal but what else can u do. They fit now..O0

I did 6 point nuts and i would ahave to take about a 16th out of the nut. Have even looked at 12 piont nuts and would still have the same problem. Thinking of getting a set of bolts and call it good. Just worrried about messing up my head gaskets

I have taken a router and milled the logs before to clear either studs or washered ARP bolts.

Are there any other logs that may be a better fit or am i just doomed to make them thin in that area
