Title: HEI with curve kit

I am running a HEI with no vacume advance on a BBC. Do I still want a advance curve kit or is it not needed now. Just wondering before I spend the big bucks for one...LOL!

I used the lightest springs that were in the kit, and the vacuum advance has a lockout plate, no vac. canister.

I will give it a try.  I have a lockout plate for the advance on it now.  They are realitivly cheap so what the heck.  I was just looking for opinions.  :thumbup:

A recurve kit shouldn't be more than about $20 (I could be showing my age here).  It should come with new weights and a variety of springs. 

The instructions will tell you what springs it takes to get full advance by a certain RPM.  You want full advance around 3000 RPM.
