Title: Heli-coils

When drilling the bowl for added droop studs, is it best to add heli-coils or drill and tap for studs them self?

If you use studs I don’t think you need them, but with that said I’ll defer to the experts...

Just drill and tap.  Do NOT use a hand drill!!!  That never comes out right.

I need to do the same thing. What is the proper way to do this. Its a berkley split bowl.
